Thermostat

A custom thermostat designed for convenient bedside control. The enclosure and controls were positioned for comfortable use from bed, with the interface angled 20° inward and 20° downward for improved visibility and accessibility. Dedicated buttons provide quick access to frequently used functions, including fan and motorized-window control.

Adaptive Features

The thermostat integrates with the Home Assistant network to adapt its display to the surrounding environment. The microcontroller receives brightness and color commands based on existing room sensors, allowing the OLED display to respond automatically to ambient conditions.

By leveraging sensors already available through Home Assistant, the design avoids redundant onboard sensing hardware while maintaining context-aware display control.
